Mona Nikoomanesh
My name is Mona Nikoomanesh, and I was born in 1984 in Tehran, Iran.
I have been interested in painting since I was a child, and I have been taking painting lessons since elementary school. At the age of 15, my painting teacher was one of the professors of Tehran University, from whom I learned drawing and oil painting.
After entering the university and studying architectural engineering, I learned more techniques to present my architectural works. Watercolor techniques and magic pens are a few of those which helped me a lot in my paintings.
I exhibited the first exhibition of my works at the age of 19 in the clay art and architecture studio. This process continued until I finished my undergraduate course up to my master’s degree.
I love creating new spaces, and after completing my architectural designs, I breathe life into the space with my paintings to give them color and life.
At the beginning of the pandemic and staying at home, I focused more on drawing my paintings which helped me go through quarantine days.
I love colors, and while doing it, I enter a world without time and space.
The first series of paintings I drew during this period has been for sale on the international site www.steachart.org. I introduced my works.
Since September 2020, I have developed my watercolor knowledge at Khorrminejad School of Visual Arts (@khorrminejad_art_school).
I use realism and abstract styles in my works, but abstracts are my personal favorites.
